Description: From employees paid by direct deposit to payroll timesheet format, this is where you can set up advanced features on your Wagepoint account to personalize it further. Bank Account |
Description: This is where you set up your company banking details (either a voided cheque or entering details from your online account) and ensure that all payroll payments are debited directly from your business bank account. Location: Banking > Banking Info Note:

ROE Authorization |
Record of Employment (ROE) Authorization Description: This is where you can find the required form to e-sign and fill out to authorize Wagepoint to generate and submit ROEs to Service Canada on your behalf. Location: Company > ROE Authorization Note:

Pay Schedules |
Description: This is where you can create, view and modify a paygroup. The paygroup feature lets you group your employees based on their pay frequency, their location, or even their type (i.e. employees vs contractors). We automatically create a paygroup based on the payroll frequency you select during setup, but you can add more paygroups as needed. Location: Company > Paygroups |
Income Types |
Description: This is where you can add additional income types to account for any earnings outside of regular pay, like overtime, bonuses and vacation pay. By default, we set up our users with commonly used income codes, but you can request custom codes configured to your liking. Location: Company > Income Types Note: To create a duplicate of the same code, you must request for a custom code from our technical support team, who will create the code for you within 1-3 business days. Once it’s completed, you will receive an email notification from our team. |
Deductions & Benefits |
Description: This is where you can determine which benefits your employees will contribute toward including dental/health insurance, life insurance, etc. You can choose from our predefined list of benefits to add or create all the deduction types that are relevant to your company. Workers’ Compensation |
Workers' Compensation (WCB/WSIB) Description: This is where you can get an overview of every employee who has a WCB/WSIB rate assigned to them and the amount calculated toward WCB/WSIB contributions. Location: Reports > More > Workers’ Comp Note:

Manage Users |
Description: This is where you access certain items related to your employees’ employee portal account details. For example, you can invite them to set up their online account as well as determine their access level. You can also invite your employee to access their paystubs online by clicking the envelope icon in the Employees > Active Employees tab. Location: Settings > User Accounts |
Chart of Accounts |
Description: If you use QuickBooks Online to manage your company's accounting needs, this is where you can connect Wagepoint with your QuickBooks Online account to better track your payroll expenses. Location: Add-ons > QuickBooks > Chart of Accounts Tab Note:

E-mail Notifications |
Description: This is where you can pick and choose the e-mail notifications you would like to receive from us. We provide three categories of alerts: payroll processing, birthdays and anniversaries and managing administrator. Location: Account Settings > Settings |
Company Holidays |
Description: This is where you load or add holidays to activate automatic statutory holiday pay calculations for hourly employees. Our statutory holiday pay calculations are based on the federal General Holiday formula. Location: Company > Company Holidays Note: Employers are responsible for determining employee eligibility to receive statutory holiday pay. |
Departments |
Description: This is where you set up the separate departments within the company. The Departments feature comes in handy for accounting purposes, as you can assign payroll expenses from employees to departments. Location: Company > More > Departments Note:
